Default Shuddering problem... Help!

I've owned my car for about two years now, and I just noticed a problem, whenever giving it a little gas from a complete stop, and easing out on the clutch, the car shudders, like a trans mount is loose or something. The only way I can start moving from a stop without shuddering, is to really give it gas, and slip the clutch, or let the clutch up slowly with no gas from an idle, then give it gas once the pedal is up all the way. What the hell is causing this? It just started doing this after being stuck in stop-and go traffic for almost an hour, and now it does it all the time. Help!

Oh Gawd! That's a lotta crap to check. It is the stock clutch, and I haven't messed with it at all. I guess it's time to see what Carmax's extended warrantee will do for me. I want to drop in a Stage II clutch, cam, and gears, but I was planning on doing that later, as most of my current $$ is tied up elsewhere. Well thanks!

Well if it is the stocker & your planning on doing mods, your gonna need to upgrade the clutch & hydraulics anyway.
I have seen dampning springs go in the discs B-4, hard to say what it is without experencing it.
The only thing I might be concerned with is that it just started doing this?
How severe is the chatter/shudder?

It shakes pretty good, but only when revving the engine slightly as I'm slipping or engaging the clutch. Usually I'm rolling out, only between 600-900 rpm's. It does it either forward or in reverse, and it's severe enough to shake the entire car. I notice when it shakes, the passenger headrest shaking about 1"-2" I've been revving the engine to 1k-1.2k rpms, then easing out on the clutch to avoid it, or slowly letting out on the clutch without touching the gas.

Ya, a SPEC clutch is just what you want to fix the chatter problem.

On a really hot day, I scorched the clutch on my SS real bad and it started acting a bit like you are describing for the next two weeks. When I went into 5th instead of 3rd while at WOT+highRPM the clutch never enganged for several seconds before I realized what was happening. Car stunk for the rest of the day and vibrated whenever clutch friction was being applied. I think I warped/burned part of the clutch.

If your problem just so happened to have started after an aggressive driving experience you might be able to gently wear the surfaces back in again. Do real low power/low RPM clutch engagements especially when the car is warm for the next 300 miles. If no improvement take it in.
