So I picked up my Hugger last year knowing something was wrong with the trans. The car will grind when you try to shift into first quicky. If you push it into first slowly there is no grind. I was told the trans was rebuilt and needed a new slave since it wasn't changed at the time. I installed a new slave and Tick MC after bringing it home. I'm far from a T56 expert but to me it sounds like the syncros are toast. Am I correct in assuming that is most likely my problem given the grinding when shifting quickly into first and no grinding when shifting slowly? The clutch is a Centerforce DFX and looks to be in good working order. If any other info is needed to help diagnose, please ask and I'll gladly answer.
