Hi,

I need to change my transmission on my 2000 C5. It's a Standard 6 speed manual and I have a 3.90'stage 2 diff from RPM on the car.

I have found a brand new C6 T56 from 2006, still in its box.

Would it directly fit on my car? I want to keep the rear diff.

Mainshaft spline and tailhousing casting need to be the same. Some 2006 mainshafts were 27, some 30 spline. I don't know how long they used the early casting.

What should be the spline to be compatible with my C5? 27 or 30?

The seller tells me 26 spline on entry shaft and 27 spline on out shaft. I am not sure about the wording as I am French.

Does it mean it is a similar transmission as a C5 (except for ratios)?
It then would be a direct fit.
