Default Is this normal?

Ok since my trucks has been giving problems I started driving the Trans Am I have noticed that every time I press on the gas the shifter moves up like if the transmission was loose or something, is this normal?

Check the transmission mount on the cross member, it may be shot.

Its not a might - it is shot. Had the same problem when I went down that road after missing 3rd gear and slamming it back into first in my old v6. But the cheap factory ones deteriorate over time. Under torque the shifter goes from a short throw to a 5' throw lol. Hit up ws6store.com ( Prothane Transmission mount )

Super easy job, jack up car prop with jack stands. Place jack under rear of tranny barely jack until it has pressure against tranny drop crossmember swap out mount and bolt back up.
