Block's Mustang uses Sadev trans parts. They wouldnt be rated for big power stuff.

What exactly do you consider "big horsepower"? 840+ is pretty big horsepower to me.

Internet rumor has it that Block has already broken that trans. I believe it is only rated for 650lb/ft.

With his bucks/sponsors he could have X-Trac, or Quaife built him a one-off custom unit to handle unlimited power!!

Sadev doesn't build junk, it's all custom based upon their Dakar rally stuff to try and handle the power. There's a great thread from Kiwikid about the LS7 in the NZ v8 Supertourers series. Quaife built the gearboxes for those cars. They had to threaten legal action in order to get boxes built that could handle a stock LS7, so I don't think they could handle building stuff for blocks wild car.
