I know this is an older thread but I have been running my CD DF for 4 years and doing this every weekend with my faceplated trans. 6200 rpm launches

Nice launch! Well I've already gone to the track with 26s & it was a lot better. Launched @ 6,300 & dropped my 60' to a 1.67 & ran a 7.4 in 1/8 mile.. Have to look into faceplated trans cause not sure how those tranny work

I watched your video, is that the new track on the old naval airstrip in FL? I'm not sure how the track prep is there, but it looked like you were spinning a lot. Make sure you pull completely out of the water box when doing the burnout as you can sling water up in the wheel wells and it'll drip back down on the tire afterwards. What psi are you running?

No. this 1 is called Immokalee Regional Raceway.. Yea I noticed I was spinning in the water box & didn't really think it mattered.. Now I know.. Thanks.. Tires psi were at 15-16

Gotcha, yeah I like using a GoPro as you notice all kinds of things going on that you can learn from. Might try them around 13 psi and see if that helps, good luck next time!

Thanks. Next time will probably be 1/4 mile..8) & I'll try 13psi & see how it works.
