clutch dragging, because of throwout bearing shim?
Hey guys, i recently installed a spec stage 3 into my trans am. ever since it has been harder than normal to get it into the gears. so i revved it up while in gear and with the clutch fully pressed, and i inched forward.
my question for you is, could this be because i did not install the included shim for the throwout bearing? the kit came with instructions on what to measure to know if it would be required, but like an idiot i decided to live dangerously and just threw it in without measuring... so before i go dropping my trans again, is there anything else you guys think could be the problem im having?
many thanks!

well now im having an entirely different problem... ive got the trans off the bellhousing, but for the life of me i cant get the fluid line off the slave cylinder... i pushed in the little plastic retaining clip with 2 screwdrivers and it still wont come off! i dont suppose there is any trick you guys know that would help me in this situation would you?
i did a search around the site and cant find anything..

actually, in the event that i cant get it off, do you guys think i could just take out the 2 bolts that hold the slave in and just slip it off the trans?

it's sort of a tricky procedure with only two hands but generally to get mine off I have to use two screwdrivers and also give the line a good push in toward the slave to get it to pop out
I've seen it countless times on here with Specs having issues without the shim installed

just a little update, ended up not being able to get the trans in, so i had it towed to my buddies shop. i kept throwing out my arm because of the awkward angle, but it should be done in a day or so
