Default What would cause VERY hard shifting?

I got a factory hurst in my 99 firehawk. Im having very hard shifting that comes and goes some days. Some days i cant even get it into reverse and then the next days its smooth again. Some people on these boards and other sites tell me master/slave cylinder is gone and some say its internal in my transmission. What would cause this very very hard shifting issues. Could it be the actuall factory hurst is just garbage and i should get a Hurst billet Plus?

Does the shifter feel loose in neutral but comes to a dead stop when you attempt to slide it into gear? Do you have to forcibly pull it back into neutral? Does it always affect the same gear(s), or does it affect all gears? Clarify 'very hard shifting'...

I'm leaning towards it being internal. A shift rail might be binding, or you might have a dog tooth broken off your syncro which might be getting sloshed around in the fluid, and getting caught in different places causing hiccups.

YES jim Mueller hit it on the nose describing my problem. I ordered a new master and slave so we will see if that works after installed.
