Default Custom shift *****

Well guys, classes are about to start back! Translation: less working hours=less cash=broke all the time!

I need a shift ****, but really don't need to spend any money right now. Has anyone made any custom shift ***** or have any pointers on how to do so?

Ideas so far:
1. Wooden baseball bat handle
2. Make one out of the auto shifter and wrap it with some vinyl
3. Wrap it in some sports tape and use the stick like a handle

give me some ideas!

p.s. I want to buy a nice stock leather one, but can't justify $70 right now. $40 for a ball is a little steep at this point as well.

This one is cheap. Might be worth a try.

Have you tried getting a used one from a salvage yard?
