Default Thinking A4 to M6 swap

I'm thinking of either picking up a used T-56 and building it or just order a TR6060 from Tickperformance?

I'm guessing to fully build up a T-56 it would cost about $5k and the TR6060 is $4499 plus tax and free shipping

Which would you do?

Why not just get a T56 Magnum? It handles 700 ft/lbs of torque and has multiple shifter mounting positions while using the TKO shifter.

Tick level 5 TR6060 magnum/whatever conversion is $5k.
RPM level VI is around there if not a bit more I believe.

Why are you switching/what are your plans with the car out of curiosity?

The reason I was considering the TR6060 Stage 4 from tick performance is because its rated for 900tq. I always like to over do things in case I decide to expand my power goals or go a different route and its nice to only do things once

I'm switching cause I wanted a M6 car to begin. I had never driven a manual before except my dads 1980 911 SC which was not the easiest thing to learn on. My friend got a 2010 SS 6spd and he let me test drive it on a road trip to Oregon and I've hated my A4 ever since. just the control and intuneness you have with the car is so much more fun. I'm always bored in my A4. I would love to stomp on my car in first and let it actually reach the redline before shifting. I have a tuned 4L60E to 6100 from 5500 shift point but its not enough

My plan is a F1A procharger AFR 215 Mongoose heads, Tick stage 3 turbo cam and I haven't decided on a rearend yet probably a eaton posi 3.73 Moser 12 bolt. sitting on Forgestar CF5s wrapped in 295/35/18 BFG Gforce Rivals.

I did the swap, its really not that bad at all. Only frownable portion of it is cutting the hole for the new shifter and Master Cyl. Not bad though, really straightforward

PM if you need any help!

Thanks will do

After looking again TR6060 stage 4 900rwtq -$4500 free shipping and is modified to be a direct bolt on for our 4th gens other than cutting the floor for the shifter.

T-56 + Viper Stage 3 came out over $5000.

TR6060 is what I'm gonna go with and all I need to order to go with it is manual foot pedals

Yeah, I got a guy in Topeka, KS who is rebuilding my T56 to viper spec as we speak, only charging me 250 in labor, rest is whatever parts I want to put in it. Although in retrospect I wish I would have just bought a pedal assembly from an M6 car and bought the Tick TR6060.

Thats a great deal on labor charge though. I asked a friend if he would build a T-56 for a buddy and he wanted $95/hr and he never gave me a completion time for my buddy. So it would have cost the price of a used T-56, Viper stage 3 parts and $95/hr for labor.
