New 60mi. SPEC 3, RAGGED hard. Ok?
I have a chance to get a really good deal on a SPEC 3 clutch, PP, billet flywheel and hydraulics. It only has 60mi. on it. The only problem is the car was driven around for 20 miles and then made 18 dyno pulls on a 500rwhp engine. Then it went to the track and launched on slicks at 6000 rpm where it broke an axle in the first two feet so it didn't make a full pass although it took the initial blow. If you buy a used clutch and it dies in the first 10k mi., will SPEC still warranty it even if you are not the original owner? Thanks.
Also, the clutch has 6 pucks? does that make it the x-pad??

Just look at the disk, PP,and flywheel to see if the clutch was slipping...look for scoring and blueing...as long as the clutch didnt slip to bad, it should be finel. Its not hp that hurt it during breakin, its slippage.

Umm, no. Those guys stand behind their product about as close and you standing behind somebody who just farted....
I think you'd be just fine running the clutch as long as it's been through what you stated. I've beat the livin **** out of my Spec for almost 2K miles, and about 10 track passes and it bites hard as hell. Dyno pulls really do not wear a clutch unless the car is making CRAZY tq...
I say run it, you'll be fine...
