Do you have an F upper shift rail? Let me do one more parts pull tonight to wrap your list up.

Probably not. I only have what came stock in the c6 zo6 trans.

so my front shifter rail right now has the 3 notches that the tapped would engage to, and I need the other rail. I understand.

would it be D3 shown here?

Crap! I know I can be an idiot.

I got the parts from Matthew today, thanks man.

New used 3rd, 2nd blocker, and shift components.

My dad is having his gm parts rep source and price an SSR tail. Probably cost about 260ish. I can't seem to find it any cheaper. Rock auto has the rest of the gm parts for a good price so Ill grab those soon.

I'm moving slow but haven't made any purchasing mistakes yet! Lol.

agreed! Thanks again for your contribution!

my Dad owns a fairly large shop so luckily he has a small amount of pull on parts. Amazingly, they found an SSR tailhouse...cheaper than an F-body.

I'll be purchasing it asap.

Your used ones may be fine; look for a wear line going around the face of each.

I don't think there is a ready-made set listed by TTC for either; the SSR used a press-fit VSS wheel; not sure if it even used rings for that. And the Z06 has the extra for the 5-6 cluster. So Vette plus extras for those two features if you use them.

Yeah I may just inventory what I have.

Because I bought a trans in a box I was thinking it would just be easier to know I have everything.

I ordered the gm parts needed. SSR main shaft, SSR tail, SSR VSS, and a new cluster gear.

Finishing up my order list for tremec parts and will probably just order it all from thegearbox for ease. Autogear may have lower prices but they aren't as easy.

I talked to the guy who I bought the trans from and he said the snap rings were all replaced the rebuild before the last time he blew up 3rd. they look fresh so I think I'm going to reuse as many as I can.

All the bearings I have look fine except the one that goes on the end of the mainshaft...between main shaft and input shaft.

I'm going to go all billet keys in everything except reverse. I already have brass pads on the 1-2 and 3-4. 5-6 and reverse I'm going to leave plastic.

my 'vette mainshaft didn't sell on ebay so I'm going to hold onto it for sure until I get the SSr shaft.

I looked for more info as for machining the SSR main to look like the vette one for the reverse syncro hub. I came up dry so I'm glad the vette main didn't sell.

That's where I'm at. I appreciate yalls help thus far. I'm hoping to have a built trans come mid month.

I did it on a GTO 32 spline build and may be a bad influence.

I'd rather use as many parts as I currently own so it seems like an easy solution?

or am I just better to swap out to a different rev syncro hub?

Care to share? Are saying there's a difference of the mainshafts where the reverse hub mounts? Or is this the hub machining to get crisper rev engagement that I've heard about?

The 06-07 Z06 Rev. hub is counterbored to clear an extra lock-ring that fits in an extra mainshaft groove. The cluster gear ahead of it remains unchanged.

Since we know the cluster likes to walk on the part-splined-only GM mainshafts, I can only imagine it's a strength benefit. I felt like re-using the reverse synchro. The aforementioned GTO 32 spline is behind 700+hp; I'd like to see it in a year, but we'll see.

I haven't seen Rev. hubs modded for shifting; just the 1/8" fork offset.
