Default Pro 5.0 Shifter stop bolts??

Remove them....
leave them....
just back them as far as possible and lock them down....

I've heard all 3

need some opinions before I stick mine in.....

Question

I'm installing mine this Saturday on my 99Z28 and I have same concern.

How do you adjust them if at all?

Thanks in advance

When u install the shifter, put it in 3rd, then make it so the stop bolt touchs it, then back it out a half (or whole, i can't remember) turn. Then tighten. Then put it in 4th, and do the same, screw the bolt so it is all the way touching the shifter, then back it out. I THINK it is a full turn, but im not sure, i think i backed mine out a little over half, and haven't had a problem yet Oh, and BTW, u will LOVE the pro 5.0, I have one with a lou's short stick and its AWSOME. Good Luck, David.

I would adjust as stated above.
It is nice to have them there to absorb the shock of driving hard.
They take some force of the stops in the trans when adjusted properly.

Ive got one on my 2000 SS and i just backed mine in all the way, haven't had a problem with it for six months. I would recommend shortening the shifter arm before installing it, or purchase lous short stick. I love mine though.

Thumbs up

Got mine installed yesterday.

Install went smooth and time was about 1 1/2 Hr.

Only trouble was getting the center console off, but with time it came off.

Thanks for all of you for your help.

I took mine out because I read the T56 has it's own internal stops. I still need to get the LSS to make mine perfect.
