Default TR6060 1/2 blocker ring question

I disassembled my TR6060 to replace the fork pads with bronze and decided to look at the upgraded hybrid blocker rings but I have a few questions on the 1/2 blockers.

I have 2 "upgraded" fully carbon ring sets from Tremec TUES 10357 that I can use on 2nd outer ring and use inner and outer on 1st. Should I leave it as is or go this route?

From left to right are 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st. Notice the rings on 2,3,4,5 with the outer ring surface being sintered bronze and the inner is carbon. I take it this is what makes it a hybrid. 1 and 6 are all sintered bronze.

1 and 6 do not have any markings but the other have part #'s.
1/2

3/4

5/6

I'm just going to use the original parts as GM says they had Tremec fix those 2nd gear problems. Just thought I would ask if there were any improvements using the full carbon instead of the hybrid 2nd and sintered 1st blockers.

I think your question was a little confusing. The advantage of a full carbon ring is slightly higher rpm capability when shifting.

Thanks AMP. That was pretty much what I was wondering. And why did they use hybrid and not full carbon? First gear is also sintered so I would change it as well if it's an upgrade and works better at higher rpm.

Hybrids are a combination of the sintered bronze and carbon lining. This is the best, most durable option. Even better than all carbon. However, use them in the original or purchased sets. They are matched for size. Do not make your own sets by mix/ matching.

The full on carbon/kevlar ring was designed specifically for a class of racing that approached Tremec on the subject. It worked very well but as said above, the hybrid tends to work best for over all performance versus durability.

Ok thanks. So i guess i will leave 2nd as a hybrid. But what about first, change it from all sintered to the full carbon upgraded rings i got from tremec?

I doubt you will see any improvements from it other than maybe down shifts at higher speeds.
