Since we're all here in one place, does anyone have the full weight of a Monster Level 2 assembly with 18lb flywheel?

I didn't go with it because it's flywheel rating, monster lt1-sc is 1,000 wheel hp rating

Thanks for the kind words guys.

The full weight level 2 is around 55 lbs, the lightweight is around 45, depends on the scale.

I would be every interested to see how the OEM clutch disc in that set-up hold up to the launches

I thought people always talked bad about those little springs in the OEM pressure plates

These units are different... Finally. It's like GM was listening.

And SNL has been beating the absolute **** out of them and they're taking it all day. Maybe Steve can post some videos... I've seen them before.

Edit: here's some good info

No. They've got a Motorsports series which is completely custom made. There's a difference.

Thanks for all the posts guys.

Just for fun here is a couple of oldies but goodies, of the LT1-XX's in action.

This is Steve's old GTO running against Buck's N/A Fbody, both running the LT1-S so you can see the performance that the stock material gives.

Here is Ray's Fbody the first time he broke the GM 6 Speed record running the LT1-R; for those who have questions about the GM springs holding up under extreme performance.

As far as measurements, etc. Ray sent his cultch in for review after a season of running 8's (he lost the engine which is why he tore it down). The clutch had roughly 85% life left and looked fantastic. Minimal scoring/wear for the unbelievable abuse that he put it through. Keep in mind this car goes 1.2xx 60's.

for those of you worried about the gm springs holding up. well dont worry bc these lt1 series clutches are tough.

here is a video of a 1.25 60' on the back tires and then money shifting from second back to first on accident and cutch took it like a champ and thats not the only time ive done that. (i guess the big wheelies get me to excited lol)

here is the car just a few days later at lsfest same clutch no issues.

like monster said i sent it back only bc i had the car apart anyway and figured they would like to see how its holding up it was working exactly as it should and holding 1100+rwhp
