this kinda freaks me out if i ever need another rebuild. I really dont want to give up my .5 overdrive ratio to go to a magnum. Sorry to hijack the thread but if anyone knows at tick can you use our t56 to convert all the internals to a 6060 or can the magnum be had with the stock gear set the fbody has? I know the 08-up 6060 in vettes uses the same gear set

Since going boost this is part of my same dilemma. I don't want to keep my long first 4 but lose out on my OD. I kind of like gloating to those people that expect me to tell them I only get 12mpg on the highway that I get upper 20's, providing I keep my foot out of it!

Honestly been holding off as long as possible to do anything trans related and hoping something comes to market. Looks like I may eventually have to bite the bullet and get the shorter OD gears to keep the longer first 4. Guess I can always play with the rear gear.

You could always just buy parts as they become available, then you'd be ready for a rebuild in probably a year or so.
