Sorry for the delayed response. Here are the bolts I used.

ARP 134-2201 M10x1.5 25mm long (Pressure plate to flywheel bolts)
ARP 662-1003 M10x1.5 30mm long (Transmission to bellhousing bolts)(2x5pks)
ARP 134-0901 M10x1.5 35mm long (Bellhousing to block bolts)

If he's still running a 17lb Tilton clutch there's no need for a scattershield. This type of double or triple disc clutch usually contains all of the clutch discs and won't come apart like a traditional style street car clutch can.

Anything can break and come apart, when pushed to hard.

Yea....I'm fine with it. These clutches are subjected to much more abuse than your typical street strip type car will see. It's not like there are big cast iron chunks goin around.

Yep....much better materials to....well other than the stock flexplate used to start the car. But I've never seen one of those come apart.


I know the effects of not having a scatter shield. My uncle had a clutch come apart in his 56 Bel Air years ago. It bent the gas pedal back over his foot and tore up the fire wall. We are restoring that car now but I left the remnants of that disaster in the car.

Here's a pic of it....ols school brazed in but it's still there
