Clutch Advice - From Install to Dyno to Roadtrip?
I need some advice...
My tuner is in the process of installing a RPS Street Twin Full Carbon clutch in the car I am building - https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...osted-c6z.html
My question is...is it going to be OK for the longevity, break-in, etc of the clutch if it goes from install, to 20-30 street tuning miles, to WOT dynotune pulls, then on a 300 mile road trip that is mainly highway miles (i.e. not alot of gear changes, or clutch work).
I have heard it is best to break-in a clutch for ~500 miles, lower rpms, and changing gears alot. This is the complete opposite of what I will do....however, I feel like alot of people are in this boat? i.e. building the motor + installing a clutch at the same time....what is the protocol?
thanks
