Cool Buying donor for t56 swap?

Whats going on guys,

I've been thinking of swapping a m6 into my auto '00 SS and have been looking at the kits and what not. Various buying/selling sites i've found a couple ONE OWNER-STOCK z28 m6's from '99s for $3500 with 130k on em. They need the typical tune up stuff but im only really interested in the t56 and the parts ill need. The only real reason im thinking of doing a swap is this is the 1st car I ever owned and i'm attached to it. Otherwise i would sell and buy a stick car.

Now here are my questions.
You guys think going the donor route would be a lot easier seeing as i pick every part i need then afterwards i could sell the body/ls1 to recoup some of the money?

You think swapping a 130k mile trans is a little high and i should either rebuild it or look for something with lower miles? (my cars got 82k)

One of the reasons i like going with a doner is i know it shifts properly and know where it came from.
