Which lighter setup are you considering?

Spec Stage 2 with Tick Master, Hate it. Extremely Heavy pedal feels like a late 60's muscle car clutch.

^ only way to avoid that is going to a twin disk. every aftermarket clutch will have a stiff pedal. theres only 2 ways to increase holding power more aggressive material with a stiffer PP or add more disks, hence twin or triple disks.

LS7 with a Ram aluminum alloy flywheel.

Next change I am going to a lighter, smaller diameter, multi disc set up with a Tick master.

Monster LT1S with the lightened FW. It's still heavy(GM PP is a beast)...47ish pounds all up. I LOVE the clutch. The only thing I would ever swap it out for is a RPS carbon carbon twin(ligher) but my pockets were not that deep. The only reason I'd swap is the weight. I have a light car so the heaver clutch isn't necessary.

Money no object, RPS twin/triple carbon carbon
Budgetish but super streetable LT1S or RST
Budget......none....will never drive an upgraded single again. lol

McLeod Street Twin, picked it up needing rebuilt for 150 bucks, cost 450 to have it rebuilt at McLeod. Stockish pedal, and it holds anything I can throw at it. Had a McLeod single before it, was fantastic as well.

Is a monster stage three over kill for just a bolt on car?

And what makes people buy the tick master over the stock unit?

I have a diamond stage 2...pedal is.not heavy at all. Feels like stock. I keep my clutch reservoir cleaned out on a regular basis. Probably change it once a week, have had no need for a tick mc.

In my case I went through several stock master cylinders in less than a year. Switched to the tick.

Monster S3 and Tick master is my setup. Does not drive like stock - if it did, my man pedal would come up to a different spot every shift and I would slip in 4, 5, and 6 with just the throttle.

Have you guys looked into the Mcleod 75250? We've installed a few in cars doing a little over 600rwhp and have been working out great. They come with a really nice 13/16 bore master cylinder made by wilwood. The disk is a dual friction piece and drivability is near stock feel.

How does this compare to stock? (i.e. what is stock bore would I have on my '01 F-body)
Anyone else like this one?

Im running a Spec 3+ good cluctch nice looking unit. Night and day difference from an LS7 which i previously had. Also went with a Spec aluminum flywheel. Nice combo for the price. Have to gef used to the engagement of the clutch a little more chattery but not unbearable to drive. I like it.

Figure I should update my post, daily driving with the mantic now for about 5k miles, the clutch works great when cold, it DOES NOT like to be slipped and will chatter a decent amount in traffic. Looks like my Stage 2 monster is still the best single disk I've used, figure I'd give credit where it's due.
