Ok it's a will it hold question, un answerable ? But I know there's similar builds with known results so ...
T56 early srt10 box, no 9310 but its the 1 piece shaft. Rebuilt by Liberty Gear with billet keys on all 3 bronze pads on all, shot peen cryogenic and thermal treatment

Its not finished yet but that's basicly what my budget can afford

The car is a pig , 72 Monte Carlo, I'm doing what I can and think I'll have it down in the 3,500lb range at least

Engine is a iron 408 ls3 combo 11.5-1 240/248 629/629 roller single plane , Holley carb plus a 200 shot , I want to launch it at 6k on the motor... will it hold?

Any experience and advice will be greatly appreciated

Thank you, Adam

My t56 has lived a tough life. Launched at 7000rpm on slicks, roughly 700whp on nitrous and 3850-3900lb race weight. Only thing I ever broke was fork pads and blocker rings, and twisted one slip yoke. Now that same trans is faceplated and I added a fluid pump. I'm in the 1000hp neighborhood now with twin turbos and it's still holding.....for now at least.

That makes me feel a lot better thanks, and if it's not total catastrophic failure I can afford to fix it

What are you running that's 2 tons? Not that 4th gen is it??? And what clutch do you run/ suggest.. it will see a lot of street time
Thanks

It's an fbody lol. It had no weight reduction, added iron block, cage, 2 nitrous bottles etc etc plus I weigh 230. Adds up quick! I've removed some things and got race weight down to 3720 now with the turbos. Still pretty fat. I run a mcleod rxt twin disc clutch.
