Default Pilot Bearing Removal Question

I will be pulling my tranny.. .again... to replace the pilot bearing soon. That is all I will be doing while I am down there. That being said, can I leave the flywheel bolted up if I'm just pulling the pilot bearing, or does it have to come off? Again, the pilot bearing is the only thing being replaced (hopefully) so I would like to remove the least amount of things possible.

Shouldn't be a problem. Getting the bearing back in was the pain. I ended up using a metal alignment tool.

you can leave the FW on if you want. This tool made it plug & play for removal. Got it at AutoZone loan-a-tool deal

I used a 6" piece of wood dowel closet rod and a hammer to pound in new bearing
