6th Gear Issue
6th Gear Issue My rear locked up while cruising down the interstate in 6th. So sudden it sheered in the pinion on the 10 bolt. Since then, I built a new 9" yada yada but never thought to check the trans. Well I got it all together and was about to fill up the trans with fluid since it drained out coming off the rollback, started testing the gears and it wouldn't go into 6th. 1-5 were fine. Fired up the car and no strange sounds in neutral, car pulled in 1st, 2nd and reverse from a stand still. What are my options? Should I fill it up with trans fluid and hope it works or plan to tear into it for repair?
