Default Quicktime bellhousing, spacer plate

With the quicktime bellhousing, can I just cut the spacer plate in half and slide it in so I don't have to remove the flywheel? I red locktited everything in place and don't want to re torque everything to install the bellhousing/spacer.

Default

I cut mine up and used it for fabricating things lol

No idea what they really wanted done with it, as the flywheel would have hit it if I tried to fit it.
Seemed pointless.
