Default Bellhousing Whine

After a weekend on the strip my 2000 TA developed a whine. Does it in every gear, louder with rpm, but it winds down to a stop when I press the clutch pedal in. I had the transmission out and replaced the input shaft and bearings. A visual inspection of the internal parts showed no abnormal wear on any parts and no metal shavings.

A few passes I could smell some clutch and the car is still making the noise after I replaced those parts. It is an LS7 clutch in the car with less than 10k miles.

Has anyone heard a clutch whine before? A search has only come up with questions, and no hard answers. I am at a loss and I do not throw parts at my cars.

Thanks in advance.
