Default T56 swap driveshaft

Do you have to do anything special to the slip yoke on the driveshaft on a t56 swap in A 1st gen camaro being the t56 came out of a car with a independent rear suspension and the yoke didn't have to slip in and out of the transmission? Thanks

A fixed yoke T56 from a CTS-V in a solid axle car will need a slip section driveline or a CV-joint driveline.

Or the T56 can be rebuilt to be slip-yoke compatible. The CTS-V T56 shares many parts with the GTO T56.
