Default Powder coated t56. Anyone?

In process of purchasing a stage V t56 from RPM and noticed they have a powder coated cases option. Has anyone done this? How does it hold up with being on the bottom of the car? Any pics?

just like powder coated frames or suspension parts...it should hold up well

not so sure if it adds more heat retention to the tranny though and if so is that in itself a issue

Power coating holds the heat in, the cases will run cooler bare

Unless you are building a car for the Riddler award, powder coating is a waste of money as the others have said.

I've never understood powder coating the transmission because virtually no one will ever see it.

TBH Painting would probably be better...because it's going to get fucked up trying to get it installed in the vehicle !

And paint will be easier touched up DIY afterwards

But I'm sure it'll look great done either way
