Loctite 242 blue can be used. 271 Red only a drop or two. For bearings 271 or Loctite 680 green. Actually Anaerobic seal can be used also for leaky bolts

As you now realise, if your bolts allowed oil to weep, that's because you used the wrong product on the threads and not enough of it.

As has been repeated, red loctite is the wrong product. You are putting compound on to seal from oil passing, NO other reason and most certainly not to lock the bolt.

well you got it off.....but at the very least you have compromised the balance of FW and the FU hole sizes now I would not re-use the FW

Lesson learned, no loc-tite, use thread "sealer" and TQ new FW bolts to spec

Pretty sure the flywheel bolt holes are blind in my LS7 crank, could it be just on more difference between the std 3.62 cranks and the LS7?

It might be something unique to the LS7 if they are actually blind holes. I've never seen one so cant say

Figured as much. It's 300$ mistake. Plus I need to potentially get the new fly wheel balanced.

TBH, if the clutch will work with a stock flywheel...not a damn thing wrong with those.
