Default NV3500 to LS

I've read thousands of forums on nv3500 to ls swaps. Some people say they will hold some don't. I have a full takeout lq4 out of an 07 2500hd along with computer harness and all. Kinda been thinking to go down to one vehicle with a truck and fast vehicle combo. Was looking at 4.3 4x4 s10. I know it's a very difficult swap and that's not really my point at the moment. I understand to get them to bolt up I'd need a new flywheel. Nobody ever talks about upgrading the nv3500 and I'm curious if it can be upgraded to handle the torque of the 6.0, or if I can just run it til it goes then upgrade it. Lot of people talk about using an nv4500 but if I could avoid the headache with the crossmember, driveshaft, and all the other details I would like to. I do pull light loads, but i would think it could hold that. I also like to really get with it sometimes, not all out drag strip racing, but stoplight kinda stuff. Basically will an nv3500 hold up to the stock 6.0 or not and if not what's a good route to go about building it so that it can. Thanks in advance.

Default Nv3500

If it's any help my 2000 Silverado has 292,000 miles on it and only changed the clutch once on my nv3500. However I now have lots of trans chatter and ruined syncros because I used to drive her like an A-hole. I have a 6.0 in the garage I'm finishing up to stick in front of my nv3500 after a rebuild. I'll let you know how she does
