Default TKO600 with LS7 clutch

Anyone used a TKO600 with an LS7 clutch/flywheel and an old school mechanical clutch linkage? I知 currently running the thick SACHs flywheel and a McLeod BBC clutch, but with power I知 making (~550whp) the fact only ~65-70% of the disc contacts the flywheel is an issue. Wasn稚 bad when it was an NA 5.3 but the turbo power is another story.

Not exactly the same, but I'm running a Richmond 6 speed with an LS1 flywheel/clutch, using a mechanical linkage. The LS7 should be similar.
You'll need a longer throwout bearing with the 0.4" thinner LS series flywheel.

I was hoping you would respond as I know you have extensive experience with different manual trans behind LS, most people use hydraulic clutches. I am assuming you mean the longer of the two throw out bearing used on older Chevy transmissions? (I am already the “long” one that I used on my ST10 as well) Or is there some aftermarket TOB that’s 0.4” longer?

There are 3 lengths of std. passenger car TOB to consider. You will be on the medium or long.

Mock up your clutch and flywheel on the engine, and with the fork and bellhousing set up, you want the inside end of the fork straight across when you're in the middle of clutch release. In other words, set up a 50 thou. gap, and if the inner end is starting to point back, you're close to good.

The TOB part number is in my other thread. You might have one that will work now if you have an adjustable fork stud. But as jmd posted, always best to mock it up. The Novak Adapters site has some good info on correct fork geometry, stud length, TOB length.
