Default Looking for Tr6060 Experts,,,

Looking to do a hybird, but I need to know what differences are between the TR6060s, but cannot find the specs. Thinking of using a Dodge Tr6060, to LS.

Thanks.

If you're liking the 2.97 / 0.50 and general shifter placement of the Challenger box, get a new Magnum before they change sixth and fifth ratios. If you have other thoughts and details, you didn't post them.

What does it take to convert a dodge tr6060 to an ls style tr6060. I have a low mileage one out of a 392 challenger just collecting dust

Well, I've been looking for a manual trans, and noticed the Challenger's TR6060, and a little cheaper. So I thought, I could use the input shaft from the G8, in the Chally TR6060, probably have to change the mid plate out, get a new bell housing, change out the main shaft, and tail shaft to get away from the divorced shifter. So, after all that, I mite as well get the Camaro's TR6060, and just change out the main shaft, tail housing, probably be cheaper in the long run. But I'm interested if or how much of the TR6060's from all of the OEM's would interchange.

Thanks.

You can get a brand new T56 Magnum for under $3200 which will probably be cheaper than a used tr6060 by the time you pay someone to change out the main and tail shafts.

I will be doing the work, so labor cost will not be a factor here.
Does anyone know where to find gear count, input shaft lengths, for the oem TR6060's? I cant find much at all.

Thanks.

The G8 maindrive will not work in the Challenger TR6060. Sometimes the best way to learn this stuff is to buy cores and have at it.

Will, I think I'm just going to buy a TR6060 out of a 2010+ F body, and replace the main shaft and tail housing to the Magnum. That away I will have the correct input shaft and bell housing.

Stampede.

Give Texas Drivetrain Performance a call they might be able to help you with your questions. I sent them a challenger tr6060 and they converted it to use in my C5.

Does any one have any information on the number of teeth on the OEM input shafts?

Thanks.

Stampede.
I'm putting a 2017 Camaro TR6060 into a 88 Camaro and it is a lot of work but not that bad but I am not quite done yet. Depending on what you put it into, a 2010+ Camaro TR6060 is not that hard to convert. For a F Body, A Hawks MGW shifter, MuscleRods trans adapter, and a custom slip driveshaft is all that is needed. No need to change the tail housing.
