I was on a day long road trip when 5th gear started grinding whenever I'd put it in gear. It continued to get worse until it would not go in at all. If I tried to force it, rev match or anything else it would just grind. Every other gear including 6th works fine.

What will I need to fix it?
I'm aware of the tools and process, but dont know if it's the 5-6 syncro only, or if other parts are needed.
What parts should I order and have ready?

Why not put a stage 2 rebuild kit in while you’re at it.
