my '00 z28 came w/ a centerforce clutch that is pretty stout..

yesterday out of the blue it started making a whiny noise on decel.. but only when in gear.. doesn't matter which gear.. any ideas on what it is..

also if its neccassary whats the best clutch to upgrade to.. for a daily driver that will handle 450/500rwhp eventually..t hanks

 

Its probably the gears in the 10 bolt starting to whine. HAve you been driving it hard lately? Mine started whining after a trip to the track. Its quiet except when decel in gear.

 

no launchs even.. no trip to the track recently

 

After the break in miles on my Spec I got in it and shifted hard. As soon as I let out the 10bolt let me know it didnt like it by whining. It sounds like your rearend because it does it in all gears. Up grade soon!
