Default Such a thing as too many adapters?

Bottom line up front, my trans is installed and I want to use a couple AN adapters from the factory QD as opposed to dropping the trans to change lines. How many is too many?

I have an LQ4 and T56 installed in my E46 BMW and have a question about the slave cylinder hydros. I have a Tick remote bleeder and the factory style quick disconnect. The clutch line I have that runs from the master to the slave is a 3AN line but was designed to replace the factory QD altogether (I didn't realize this when I bought it). Also, I can't find any QD to 3AN adapters, only 4AN. If I use that, I can use a 4AN female to 3AN male reducer and all is good, EXCEPT I run out of room in the tunnel. So, is there any issue using a QD to 4AN adapter, then a 4AN 90 degree fitting, then the 4AN to 3AN reducer, and connecting my line to that? I very much do not want to have to drop the trans out to change out lines at the slave cylinder.

Imo you can use as many adapters as needed but remember you substantially increase your chances for leaks. I have a speed bleeder and a -3 to quick disconnect adapter I just don't remember who makes it.

Yeah, the fewer adapters I have to use the better. I'll keep looking for that QD to 3an, otherwise I may have to go the stacked-adapter route.

Why are you complicating something so simple ?

Just change to -4 at the master.

The clutch line I have now is one piece 3an with the BMW fitting at the master and 3an female at the slave. If I could find a BMW to 4an adapter for the master I could build my own line and probably return the line I bought. Haven't found one yet though.

so cut the hoses in the middle ( or suitable location ), fit the relevant female AN fitting on each end, and a male to male 3-4 adapter in the middle. All off the shelf parts.

They make a -3an adapter you just need to find it. No need to cut anything. Why overcomplicate things.
