Default Short stick install?

After UMI short stick install when I tried to move my car I had a lot of difficulty putting the car into reverse and 1st. Also noticed my clutch pedal sticking to the floor. Basically cannot move the car now bc the clutch pedal will not come up unless I use my hand to lift it. If the car is in gear when I start it and try to release the clutch it stays depressed and eventually the car dies like I've stalled it.

Odd part is I've never had issues with my clutch b4 or shifting issues whatsoever, drove last weekend.

I've seen the clutch pedal sticky thread and plan to try some of those remedies.
But my main question is: Is there any possible way I tweaked something when installing the umi short stick to cause these problems??? Or is this just a freak coincidence??

That's what I'm thinking. Since swapping the stick out involves very little stress to components.

My master cylinder reservoir fluid is dark. So I plan to try the ranger method tonight to flush that out to see what happens. 🤞

Ever changed the clutch? I've never done it and think its about time. I had that same symptom happen to me driving the other day. It took a whole day for that pedal to come back up. Probably just old and worn out everything lol.

I have not. I bought it with 32k miles 3 months ago with the original clutch. I'm hoping it's still good. Can't afford to replace that yet.

Flushed the master cylinder fluid via the Ranger method. It helped. Now clutch only sticks intermittently. Only stuck on me 3x. One of those times I could not get it out of first until I shut the car off. Now it tends to only happen if I'm sitting and holding the clutch in at a stop.

So improved but not better. 👎

It is a method to replace your old clutch fluid without bleeding the system.
I stumbled upon it on the corvette forums. If you Google "ranger method clutch fluid". You should be able to find it explained.

Just to update this thread.

Replace the MC with a Tick Adjustable MC and a quick install speed bleeder and all problems fixed.

Bumping an old post, did you also replace the slave cylinder?
‘You still have a stock ls1 clutch in it? How much stiffer is the feel with the tick setup?

-I did not replace the slave cylinder.
-Stock clutch: 34k miles.
-Stiffness is minimal. Honestly it's barley stiffer in my opinion than the original one. I've driven many different manual cars and the new master feels like a stock set up really. Totally worth it.

Some people complain of it being stiff, but I have no idea what they are talking about. I'm super OCD about little details and how comfortable stuff is to drive and it's barley stiffer.
