I am super gun-shy of rebuilt clutches, so I could buy a new Summit dual disk clutch/flywheel for the rebuild price of Mantic.

I have a Mantic 9000 twin but haven't driven the car yet. It's extremely well engineered and arrived in an aluminium suitcase. A friend in Sweden says he can press the pedal with his fingers and it's great to drive with. I went with his recommendation. A friend in Canada bought the Summit one which represents good value for money. He says it's really heavy weightwise and has regrets about that. I used to use a Mc leod street twin which worked really well. They look pretty crude (pressure plate) compared to the Mantic which I'd describe as a precision engineering piece. I got mine from Geoff Gerko, Mantic USA.
Mantic flywheel and pressure plate stands.
Billet pressure plate.
Both plates and a finished assembly.

Doubt any clutch supplier would cover the cost of a removal or installation. After all, they only sold a clutch. It could have been fitted by a monkey or abused. If you buy from a place that sells the clutch and does installations then it could be a different matter, in the UK. Not sure about the US.
Just thinking, what's to rebuild anyway? There aren't many componants to a clutch or have I misunderstood something? Is it the cost of the parts?

My McLeod RST was not a fan of launches lol. Otherwise a good clutch though. Haven't tried the Mantic, but the pricing doesn't make sense to me. I don't care about fancy billet mixed with unobtanium. I care about holding power and pedal pressure....and for anyone whose ever run a Spec stage 5....noise So far the Summit has been my favorite. I really liked the Southbend clutch I had but it wouldn't hold the power.
