Default Options For Moving T56 F Shifter Forward?

I'm in the process of fitting the EROD LS3 and T56 Magnum F to my 76 Jag. Things are going fairly well but by using the Magnum F we traded one solution for another problem. The shifter position is too far to the rear by about 3-4 inches. The only solutions I seem to be able to find are those that move the shifter back rather than forward. Any ideas?

I've been corresponding with the folks at Threepedals about this. They can do the whole shifter assembly or they make a piece of billet aluminum that does much the same thing. They can go up to 4.5" on each which would put things where they need to be. I think one of these should work fine but wanted to see if anyone has any other options.

The T56 Magnum might have the right shifter location for you. I'm curious what you find that works though, I plan on putting my T56 out of my '99 Camaro into a 1968 Camaro, and will run into a similar problem.

I think your cheapest solution might be to use a MGW shifter with the clockable lever position. Might want to shoot MGW an email and ask. Does the transmission currently engage 2,4 and 6 without hitting that metal bar?
