Quick question, I finally found a good shop around here to swap out my transmission. So, what will happen once the T56 is in and running with the automatic ECM? Will the car run? Will I be able to drive it home? ( 10 miles ) or will it be inoperable until I reprogram the computer? I just need to get it home. Or arrange a tow. Thanx.

 

you wont be able to use reverse with lock out still in, speed sensor plug should be the same, will throw codes but should still go.

 

ok, everything is in and working really nicely. But, my traction control button doesn’t seem to do anything??!! No light comes on and nothing in the cluster when I press it. I didn’t read anything anywhere about wiring the traction control. So the fact that it’s not working anymore is expected after a t56 swap? Did I miss something? Or it’s not effected by the swap and it’s something else?? Thanx.
