Default T56 F-Body Shifter Cup on a GTO T56 transmission?

I have a T56 out of a 2004 GTO - it currently has the Hurst shifter with the saddle and sits further back off the transmission. I’m putting it in a 1981 Corvette, and with the GTO shifter, it’s going to sit too far back. I want to replace the GTO shifter with an F-Body shifter from MGW, but in order to do that I’ll need an F-Body shifter cup.

However…I can’t find one for the life of me! Does anyone have an advice here? Anyone know where I can find one? …anyone want to sell me theirs?! 😭

"Offset shift lever" is a better search phrase.
F-body, Cobra, Viper piece are the same. GTO was the odd man out.

I actually found this. I think that’s the piece I need, correct?

You can have the MGW shift **** clocked in a different position. That might work.

I think I bought mine from AMP on here. If I remember right, this is the part # 1386-598-016.

That’s exactly what I need to do myself - fantastic! Out of curiosity, what shifter did you end up replacing the stock on with?

Quick google search says yes, that’s the right part number.

I bought a used F-body stock shifter from another member on here. I then attached an old Hurst handle I had laying around. I was going for the old "retro" 4-speed shifter look so it worked nice in my application...

We offer the F Body/Mustang/Viper Offset Lever but do not offer the GTO lever.

Looks like you need the one I have and I need the one you have. Did you find one yet ?

I did, I bought one from Hawks Motorsports. Otherwise, I would’ve traded with you.

What are you building that you need a further back shifter?
