I'm building a 92 obs chevy 2wd I'm wondering if I get the gm tkx transmission can I run the stock truck 4.8 lflywheel and luk clutch kit an stock gm throw out bearing from my local parts store? It would be behind a lm7 5.3 just trying to go the cheaper rout

You can use the flywheel and clutch but the slave cylinder assembly will not work.

So the intenal slave for a 4.8 wouldn't work?, what would be idea set up for the tkx without killing the pocket?

No, you'd need to source an internal slave set up that rides on the factory bearing retainer. I think Tick Performance has some stuff available.

Thats the setup that was recommended to me by a friend to run with my TKX behind LS swap in my track car. He's running it with an LS style clutch, said it works just fine. I havent built my car yet, still collecting parts.
