Default Problem leak (mods help) I have searched

Rear trans is leaking @ the input shaft. Changed the seal did not work. Whats next bushing? How do I remove it and replace it safely? This has just happened car has been fine for almost 75 thousand miles and now this problem. The input shaft on the drive shaft looks perfect so why am I getting a leak just started this weekend when I dynoed it left a bit when I backed off (470/500) corrected. I checked all the obviose? mounts made sure all bolts are tight. I am hoping its the bushing when I removed the seal I saw a notch/opening on each side around the bushing how to I change it out.Anyone know of a bushing/seal good end stuff?

How much fluid has been put in the trans? Just wondering if it's slightly overfilled.

I made sure that the level last night was just b4 it would train out the fill hole. I am going to attempt a bushing change today but dont see how I am going to get it out. For the reinstall would I just tap it in till it stops? I inspected all parts last night they look good and smooth.

I am having the exact same problem in my 97 I just picked up. Under hard acceleration it leaks out on the exhaust and smokes its *** off. I would be interested in the fix also, I had a guy tell me that there is a rubber bushing of some sort in there that might be causing it but I have no idea what he is talking about.

I think I have mine fixed. The previous owner didn't have the shifter tight and it was leaking out the back of the shifter plate. I did check on the bushing and it is a brass bushing with spiral grooves in it to keep the fluis from running out.

It was good after seal change now it is leaking again as of today worse than ever. Taking it to a local tranny shop this week for a fix.
