Grinding

Grinding I have a 98 TA. It is perfect, except for grinding. Under normal conditions, I will grind from 4th to 5th or it will go in and pop out, or not go in at all... i need help 
The other part of grinding, is when the car is cold, it will grind into 4th... These are all under normal conditions, now on the track, it is fine, and if im hard on it it is fine... im confused...

Bad syncro(s) most likely. Gotta get em checked out which means pulling the whole trans and takin it apart. And, on top of that, sometimes syncros look perfect and are completely bad. It's a lot of guessing even when you know what you're doing. I just had the same thing happen to me from 1st to 2nd. Replaced the syncros. We'll see how it turns out.
