Yes you have te stock shifter, in theory both short sticks are the same thing. I personnaly have the Speed Inc. stick and it works great, youll be happy either way.

It's probably a little shorter or a little firmer. As far as sticks go, either one of them will make you happy. I picked LSS because I have never heard any complaints with it at all, and I am glad I made that choice. I'm sure the LS1Speed stick is great too though : )

I have a Lou's Short Stick I'm looking to sell if you're still looking. $40 and it's yours. Like-new condition (only had it on the car for ~1000 miles). Let me know!

It also goes onto to the shifter differently. I learned this the hard way when I attempted to install my Pro 5.0. The stock shifter uses a hanger to attach to the shifter, the hurst and all the others simply bolt-on.

I bought a JRR, cheap and the same as a LSS

Since you have the stock shifter you either need to find someone selling their Hurst or buy a Pro 5.0 or equivalent aftermarket shifter. The stock shifter is garbage even with a short stick....the Hurst w/ the short stick is what I have and it feels very solid and I really like it.

I like the looks of that UMI shifter handle. The pictures even look like you could hack off some of the threads for an even SHORTER handle .

Yup, that's what's great about it. I left the threads on mine alone since the handle lines up great with the center console. Makes the arm nice and comfy

I'll sell you a Kirban shifter for $100. Its a lot shorter than stock and the shifts are A TON better. Its a great shifter.

UMI has been selling their shifters on ebay recently. Either that or someone stole their pictures.
