Just as the title says, everything is fine in every other gear but when I try to put it into 5th it just pops out of gear. Sometimes it will go in but I have to try to put it in very fast. This same problem happened to my brothers T56 but in 3rd and 4th gear. I think when he posted it people thought it was a`bent shift fork.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also just put in Spec stg 3 clutch about 2k before tranny problems. No slicks or even drag radials and probably under 400 hp. Please help.

diagnosis will require teardown but the fork pads may just be chewed up. Easy fix in a weekend.

I am still under factory warranty at 19000 miles and have a extended warranty to 100k. I think that once they fix it I should still upgrade some of the internals to make sure nothing else happens.

WS6dan, get the upgraded shift-fork, carbon fiber blockers, etc, and take all the parts with the car, maybe they will rebuild it with the better parts to save you the trouble.

Nothing in 5th / 6th needs upgraded. You already have the carbon linings on the cones, and the keys don't break from overshifts like 3/4 do. The fork is already iron. Race pads that last "forever" are a tonne more money. You just need to fix the problem, not chase problems that don't exist.

But you do need to do the drill mod.
