like its not smooth goin into gear, its like it clicks into gear. my friend has a pro 5.0 and his springs or something are screwed up and when he takes it out of 1st it doesnt pop over between 3rd and 4th like mine, so that makes it more of a bitch to shift. dont know if thats a common problem

On my Pro 5.0 the notchy feeling is that it takes a little something extra to put the stick in gear and take it out of gear. It has never annoyed me once and actually gives it more feel since each gear feels different to me IMO (especailly the feel it gives when you are about to downshift and upshifting)

Pro 5.0 all the way. The "notchy" feeling is how you feel it clicking into gear. If you want to check mine out, let me know.

It is much smoother, and you can tell so much easier when the car is in gear vs. when it isn't. I'd really like to try a 5.0 sometime to see if there is any real difference...
BTW, I've shortened my Ripper 2", and I love it even more.
