I have heard of a few people that have gotten the regular ball w/ out the tail and they have said that they like their stock Hurst leather **** better. I was wondering if the tail on the ball makes any positive difference in shifting feel. I would think it would be more versatile this way being able to grab it on the side for the 1-2 shift, and just allowing more shift possibilities.

I'm either going to get the standard ball or the ball with the tail, I just dont feel like having to put it up for sale here if i dont like the one that I go with. Any input would be great.

I've tried many ***** including MBA. The factory Hurst leather is still my favorite IMO. The leather is just much more comfortable, especially in extreme hot/cold.

 

03 cobra shift **** beats them all, hands down.

 

With tail. No problems, and I like it alot. It does get hot and cold quickly, and is a little slick if your hands are sweaty (drag racing on a 98 degree day).

 

No tail on mine and I loved it. It was so awesome, when my car got broken into they stole my head unit......and my MBA ****. Bastards. The aluminium **** is fun to put in reverse when it's scalding hot.

 

Is that Cobra Shift **** pretty much screw on with out any fab work? How much you grab that for?

 

i just put a 2" no tail one in. i like it but the only thing that i dont like is that u can see the threads of my pro 5.0

 

I have one with the tale. Like it except in extreme cold or heat. As for racing i put the stock back on.

After a hot summer, I sold my MBA because it would get so hot that I couldn't even touch it.

 

2.25" or whatever size the larger one is without a tail and I really like it. It does get a little slick when your hands are sweaty, but I think it's a small price to pay for the look of the ****.

 

What the hell do you guys mean by tail? Sorry if I missed something, trying to figure it out.....

 

its not just a round ****, it has a 'tail' on the bottom where it screws onto the stick...
