I pulled my tranny out for a rebuild. I have 120k on it. The clutch was replaced at 77K. The pressure plate and flywheel have no wear at all(nothing I can feel). The clutch looks good but I cannot tell how much it has worn.
Does anyone have a spec for the thickness the factory clutch should be when new?
I am happy to put in a clutch if needed. There is well over an 1/8" to the rivits and less than 1/16" to the grooves in the clutch.
Thanks!

Thanks for the input P mack
The total thickness of mine is 3/8" It sure looks good. There are 40,000 miles on it. Seems strange that it has not worn more??
How many miles do you get out of a stock clutch?
This one was replaced at 77k
Anyone else??

My original clutch is about to bite the dust at 75k. It's fine around town, but it's really loose feeling and will slip a little taking off fast. I doubt it'd survive but a few passes. I don't think it helped though with me learning how to drive a manual on this car when I bought it late this summer at 67k when the clutch was already pretty loose. Even still, I had more of a tendency to let the clutch out too fast and not gas the car enough instead of letting the clutch out too slow when learning.
