Default pro 5.0

I have now a factory Hurst Shifter with my 01 ws6. Is the Pro 5.0 shifter worth the 175.00 from LMP performance? I didnt think that just the upper half of the shifter could make such a difference in shifting or ammount of throw from shifter. Your thoughts plz

I had a Pro 5.0 in my last Camaro, and I loved it. I now have a 2002 Z28 with the factory Hurst shifter, and I'm still going to swap it for a Pro 5.0. The 5.0 has shorter throws, a more positive centering action for the 2-3 shift (never missed it with a 5.0), feels more solid, and is built as bulletproof as they come. It also has adjustable shift stops to keep you from bending or breaking shift forks. To me, it's well worth the price of admission.

I had a hurst and I just installed yesterday a pro 5.0 with lou's short stick. In my opinion it's worth the money, you won't be disappointed

hey just installed my pro 5.0 about 3 hours ago. Wow does my shifting feel solid now. Looking back at stock, felt like i was churning butter! Haha now i feel like im loading a bolt-action rifle. BTW did any of you guys nodice a vibration though that increases with revs, but goes away when you push in the clutch? I mean my install was flawless so i don't know what it could be other than its normal, or now a noise that was isolated before is now coming through the current shifter since it has less isolation.

Make sure your bolts are tight in the stick. Mine were loose and it helped a lot tightening them. Guess I should have checked all of the bolts after the install

That's a common mistake. I actually had my Pro 5.0 installed by one of the older and more reputable sponsors on this board who have a reputation for fine attention to detail, and this one still got past them.

I tightened the bolts before i put the new shifter in, so I'll double check them, but if its bolted correctly then what? Do i have a more serious problem? Also, when you see the pro 5.0, you see what a POS the stock "Hurst" shifter is. All the parts are like stamped tin.
