Default stock **** fitment on short stick.

I recently got a short stick, not sure what brand because I got it from a buddies totalled SS and we never knew where it came from. It may be an LSS, not really sure. Anyway, I put my stock **** on it and it wont spin all the way on the stick. With it tight the **** is turned backwards, and I cant figure out how to make it fit correctly. In the forward facing position the **** is too loose.

Just want to know how to overcome this little problem. I was thinking of squirting a little silcone in the **** then I should be able to get a good fit after it dries. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Fry

Use a nut to put on before the ****, then get the **** where you want it and tighten the nut to the ****.

You could also put some lock-tite on the threads of the stick and get the **** where you want it. Wait about 10 min or so for it to dry and you're good to go.

I used some paper and folded it many times and placed it in the hole before I installed the shift ****. This causes the hole to be more shallow and you can add/remove paper to get it right. You can use other material, I just thought of paper at the time.

I had this problem after I cut my Pro5.0 stick. I just dropped a small nut into the shift ****, then screwed the **** on. Worked perfectly.
