Default pulled trans last night

I pulled the 6 speed out of my z28 last night. It took about 4 hours. How long did it take the rest of u to get one out? The dowl pins in the motor were seized to the bell housing, is this normal?

Any way here is the list of upgrades, what do u think?

RAM POWERGRIP 600HP/TQ CLUTCH
FIDANZA ALUMINUM FLYWHEEL
STEEL SHIFT FORK
G-FORCE BILLET SLIDER KEYS(SET OF 3)
THE GEAR BOX BASIC OVERHAUL KIT
& WHAT EVER LOOKS LIKE IT NEEDS REPLACING(SHOULD FIND OUT TONIGHT)

You'll have it down to less than 30 minutes after a few times. That list of parts looks good. Scotchbrite your dowels and put some anti-seize on them before you reinstall the bellhousing.

Did you have access to a lift? I'm curious if this is too difficult with jack stands/rhino ramps. Trying to move around a 100+ lb tranny on your back doesn't sound very easy....

I can do it faster on jack stands, but a lift and tranny jack are nicer.

i put my regular jack under the tranny with the handle pointing at the rear end, i stabilized the trans on the jack, then had my uncle ease it down and out from under the car. we put it back in the same way, no problem!

I am not going to bench press my tranny into my car again. I rented a tranny jack last time, but when I got ready to use the dang thing it wouldn't work with a load on it.
I am going to get an adapter for my shop jack

Harbor Freight tranny jack adapter
